Questions

Does it work on private accounts?
No. Only public profiles. If you can't see it logged out, neither can we.
Will they know I looked?
No — but that's not permission to be creepy. This is for checking your own branding, or seeing a competitor's positioning, not for building a file on someone.
What resolution do I get?
Whatever Instagram stores as the HD version, usually 320px or 1080px square depending on when it was uploaded.
Can I use someone else's photo?
Downloading it doesn't give you rights to it. Impersonating someone with their own photo is both against Instagram's rules and, in most places, illegal.
Why is this free?
It costs us a fraction of a cent and it's how people find us. The paid product does the harder thing — telling you what to post.
