Questions

What's the difference between .srt and .vtt?
SRT is the universal one — every editor reads it. VTT is the web standard, used by HTML5 video players. If you're unsure, take the SRT.
Can I use this on my own reels?
That's the main use. Pull the subtitles off a reel you already posted, fix any wording, and burn them in properly — or reuse them as a script for a longer cut.
How accurate is it?
It uses Whisper. Clear speech comes back near-perfect; heavy background music and thick accents are where it struggles. Always read it before you publish it.
Does it work on reels with no talking?
There'll be nothing to caption. We tell you that rather than inventing words to fill the file.
What languages does it handle?
Around 100. Language is detected automatically and the cues come back in it.
