Questions

Why won't you download licensed songs?
Because those are commercial recordings owned by artists and labels, and handing out MP3s of them is piracy, whatever we call the page. We'll tell you the title and artist so you can find it on Instagram or your music service.
What counts as original audio?
Sound the creator made themselves — a voiceover, a live recording, their own mix. That's theirs, and it sits in the same category as the reel itself.
Why does it sometimes say 'unidentified'?
If Instagram doesn't tell us clearly who owns the audio, we don't serve the file. We'd rather be useless occasionally than hand over something that isn't ours to give.
Can I use original audio in my own reel?
On Instagram, yes — tap the sound and use it directly, which also credits the original creator. Downloading it is for reference and editing, not for stripping the credit.
Why does the sound matter for growth?
Sounds carry distribution. A reel riding an audio that's climbing gets shown to people browsing that sound. Knowing which sounds are moving in your niche is half of trend-timing.
